Harry E. Mangle Memorial Award Dinner

The 49th Annual Harry E. Mangle Memorial Award Dinner is on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johnstown, PA.

The Harry E. Mangle Memorial Award Dinner will feature keynote speaker, Ron Young. For much of his life, Ron Young could be described as a typical American story. A product of southern roots, the Georgia native dreamed of flying and adventure. He became an Eagle Scout and studied engineering in college. It was during his college years that he learned he could be trained to fly Apache helicopters by joining the military. He enlisted and was soon involved in the United States’ military actions.

This year’s keynote speaker is Ron Young, has worked as a cable news special contributor, competed to the finals of CBS’ The Amazing Race, served as a White House Political Appointee, been deployed with the Army National Guard twice, flew Search and Rescue in the Gulf of Mexico and is currently flying Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the largest air medical service provider in the world, Air Methods. As a speaker, Ron Young credits the leadership and training he received in the military for his survival.

Help us celebrate the value of Scouting at our 49th Annual Harry E. Mangle Memorial Dinner on February 28, 2019. We will honor our 2019 Distinguished Citizen, Jeffrey Stopko, President/CEO of AmeriServ Financial, for outstanding civic leadership.
