Due to the impact of COVID-19 on unit meetings, the following dates have been changed. This will be different than resources linked below:

  • Early Bird Pay In Full Deadline - Will now be Friday, May 1
  • Merit Badge & Activity Sign-Up - Will now be Friday, May 15
    • NOTE: An individual must be paid in full in order to register for merit badge classes and activities.
  • For more information please refer to our FAQ Sheet Camp COVID-19 FAQ

If you are ready to experience true high adventure, then our Eagle Base Trek program is for you!  These unique treks are available for Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Explorers 13 years of age or older. Your entire patrol, crew, or post can participate together, or individuals can sign up on their own to participate with other Scouts. Each day, participants select a different adventure activity either on-site at Heritage Reservation or off-site in conjunction with our partner vendors. All activities are led and supported by our OUTSTANDING Eagle Base staff.

Eagle Base Day Trek Program

The Eagle Base Day Trek program is for older Scouts BSA who want to attend summer camp with their troop at Camp Liberty or Freedom but are looking for something more than merit badges. Day Trek participants camp with their troop in Camp Liberty or Freedom, then head out for adventure during the day returning by dinner to participate in evening camp program options including a new older Scout evening program option.

Eagle Base Resident Camper Program

Beginning in 2020, there will no longer be a resident camper option available at Eagle Base. Instead, groups interested in participating in the Eagle Base program will need to register through Camp Freedom or Camp Liberty and select the Day Trek participant option. Participants will camp and eat meals at Camp Freedom or Camp Liberty and participate in the Day Trek program. In the evening, participants will have options to participate in Eagle Base staff led or camp based programs.

How to Register

Beginning in 2020, all registrations for Eagle Base programs will be made through either Camp Freedom, Heritage Reservation's dining hall feeding camp, or Camp Liberty, Heritage Reservation's patrol cooking camp. Registrants will need to select the "Day Trek" registrant option when registering.
