Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner

The annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner is the Laurel Highland Council's largest recognition event of the year. This flagship event honors regional and national-level distinguished individuals and the over 400 Scouts who earn the Eagle Scout award in the Laurel Highlands Council annually. Proceeds of the event benefited the many youth development programs of the Laurel Highlands Council.

Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout alumni, Scouters, Scoutmasters, and Cubmasters are all encouraged to attend this special program to recognize the Eagle Scout class and NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award Recipients. Eagle Scouts and their families will not want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to be recognized by accomplished Eagle Scouts. The evening is underwritten with generous sponsorships by many Eagle Scout alumni, charter members, and patrons.

This year's 70th Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner was held on May 21st at The Westin on Penn Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh. Over 200 NEW Eagle Scouts were in attendence. Joe Salvucci was honored as the 2018 Eagle Scout Class Honoree. Many thanks to Ron Herring, Dinner Chair and Patrick Tracy, Program Chair who graciously spent time helping to put together this wonderful eveing. Speical thanks to Dr. E. Gordon Gee who was the evening's Keynote Speaker. Dr. Gee's words to the newly ranked Eagle Scouts were wise, truthful, and very comical, leaving them all with an insirational evening they'll never forget.  To view photos from this year's event, please click here.
