Boy Scouts of America working with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

Amidst this uncertain time, we want to continue helping the hungry in our Laurel Highlands Council region through a Virtual Scouting for Food Campaign. Assist Scouts in practicing their "Good Turn" efforts by participating in this national initiative that encourages companies, community organizations, and Scouts to be involved in local community-service initiatives that fight hunger through Scouting for Food.

The Scouting for Food Campaign serves local food pantries and community food banks throughout Allegheny, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, and Washington counties in Pennsylvania, Allegany and Garrett counties in Maryland and Hardy, Hampshire, Grant, and Mineral counties in West Virginia.

Each year more partnerships arise through the excellent work of local food banks connecting the Laurel Highlands Council with other food banks and pantries in need of assistance. The purpose of the virtual Scouting for Food Campaign is to collect monetary contributions so that non-perishable food and household items can be purchased to help the food insecure in our local communities in the Laurel Highlands Council region.
