Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Locally, the Boy Scouts of America, Laurel Highlands Council, serves nearly 16,000 youth members and 4,000 volunteer adult leaders throughout its multi-state footprint in Western Pennsylvania, Western Maryland, and parts of West Virginia.

Support a Scout funds are used to provide things like a Scouting uniform or a Boy Scouts of America Handbook, or maybe aid in the cost of the registration fee and yearly insurance coverage. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives.
